As the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of free fall lifeboats, conventional lifeboats, fast rescue boats and davit arrangements, The Norsafe Group enters the new year with a historically high order backlog. The order backlog has by far exceeded 1 billion NOK! Last quarter only, Norsafe signed new orders worth more than 350 million NOK. Among these are several new drilling- and production platform orders. Some of the platforms will operate at the Norwegian continental shelf. Still we have some busy working days left before closing the 2011 order book, says Geir Skaala (CEO) with a content smile.
It is of high importance that some of the last orders are big free fall lifeboats with davits meeting the latest requirements and regulations. We are talking about State-Of-The-Art life-saving appliance (LSA) and high tech products, with development investments exceeding 100 million NOK. Once again The Norsafe Group is one step ahead, offering products that are fulfilling the new Norsok R-002 standard requirements, applicable for the Norwegian continental shelf. Regulations from NMD FOR 853 and DnV-OS-E406 are now incorporated in the new products, and ready for the market.
